Progress at the Foundry

Progress at the Foundry – May 2005

Detailed work has started on the process to cast the “Scramble” part of the monument. This is the magnificent centre-piece of the structure.

Paul Day (the Sculptor) visited the foundry (Morris Singer) recently to check on the progress.

We are also making good progress on the other sections of the monument, including the panels naming all the flyers who took part.

The pictures show some of the wax pieces being assembled and Paul Day inspecting progress.
