This painting depicts an event that occurred on Monday 30th September 1940. A Me109, piloted by Oberleutnant Karl Fischer of 7/JG27, made an attack on two Anson training aircraft. However he stalled during a steep turn and the aircraft came down in Windsor Great Park, Fischer surviving and being captured.
